Feelin' hot, hot, hot

Summer is officially upon us in Central Texas.
So my Summer energy plan clicks officially into place:
Comforters and top sheets off.  Ceiling fans on.
And the less laundry and bed-making from that is a bonus.
Appliances such as the dryer and the oven are given a little vacay.  We can rely less on the dishwasher, too. And the thermostat can be set at a comfortable 78 with the blinds drawn in the late morning.
The retractable clothessline makes it's reappearance.  Just in time for the warm breezes through the patio in the afternoons.  So, I'm curious - what do you do to keep your home cooler in the summer?
