Independence Day

It was a semi-quiet 4th of July around here - not too much going on early in the day.  The Girl and I worked;   Dad and the boys relaxed and held down the fort.  In the late afternoon, Scout and I went to HEB for a last minute feast - grilled Angus beef dogs with bakery buns, BBQ beans, carmelized onions, chips, soda, cupcakes and ice cream.
Everything tastes better cooked outside!

But eaten inside with the a/c on! (:
OMG. we may have all eaten a tad much.  It was so delish!
At dusk we headed to Cedar Park for the fireworks show in Milburn Park.
You could feel the "booms" in your chest we were so close!!
It was awesome!
There were lots of people there and parking was hard to come by so, next year
we want to either get there a LOT earlier, or go somewhere new.
Hopefully we will all be able to hang out together.  For me, summer is at it's halfway mark on July 4th - it just all goes by quickly after that.  So the boys and I are making our plans with an eye on the calendar...there's still lots we want to do....
