Disclaimer: I'm not a professional at cutting hair.
But I don't think my boys' hair is obviously "home cut", either. Anyone with more than one boy (who we all know grow at astounding speed), or a hubby (who has neither the time or expense for monthly cuts) could do themselves a favor and save a fortune by buying a clipper kit and get started teaching themselves how to cut hair while their boys are relatively young and non-judgmental about their hair.
Of course, that doesn't mean that a certain aunt won't make comments; the handsome one on the top has been accused of having "chili bowl" hair. Or that your neighbors won't think they live near the Beverly Hillbillies when you are out on the back patio cutting hair when they drop on by. But think about this: even with a coupon you're gonna spend $10 a head every 6 weeks. Multiplied by my three (and I used to cut four of them) that's about $260 a year and that doesn't include the tip. Buy the clipper, and you've saved enough already to put a dent in the back to school clothes. Think about it!
And, by the way, I think they all look very nice!

Thanks for linking up to I'm Lovin' It!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Great idea! We did, however, recently have a mishap with home haircuts! haha!! :)

I cut my husband's and boys' hair with clippers for over 10 years. This year, I decided to call it quits since my baldy hubs started to Bic his head himself-- yay!
That and I have a friend that does cuts after church in the fellowship hall. How's that for convenient?
You are on the money though. Maybe next year I'll start cutting their hair again. It does save a ton of dough!
I started doing this 8 yrs ago when my husband asked his barber how much it would cost to cut our 10 month old's hair. Same as my husband's haircut!?!?!?!? I also think I do a pretty good job. WIth the guides that come with the kits, it's pretty easy. And I love summer when I can just shave it all off!
