Here's what I don't want for summer:
*People splayed out all over the couch playing Wii for hours on end, socks on the floor.
*Doing endless loads of laundry - using the dryer which is right across from the thermostat.
*Kids arguing, drinking too much soda, and refusing to get up earlier than 10 a.m.
******
Other than that, I think I can be flexible. Summer is not just for the kids, its for the mamas, too. I plan on going to the pool 3 times a week, leaving the oven off, trying new recipes, using the clothes line to hang clothes, going to the beach, visiting the library once a week. and bopping around Austin.
I do not want to be chained to my house.
Summer is for going and doing and I. Am. Ready!
That sounds like a good plan, Gina! The pool and library are on our list, too.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear I am not the only mom who has children (at least 2) who want to stay up all night, drink soda and sleep the day away, if I let them,
ReplyDeleteoh and play video games (1 child).
Love your summer plan. :)
One of my girls is still in school (tomorrow's the last day). My youngest has already watched too much tv. I, on the other hand have been too busy and preoccupied to kick her off thus far. I'm just hangin' in there till June 19th. Hugs, Kim
