Speaking of earrings...
One day recently I noticed that I was missing one of my gold hoops when I got home from work. It was lost somewhere between the hospital and the bathroom sink. Drat. They were a pair gifted to me by Mark and the kids years and years ago. A full week later, I just happened to be standing on the wall side of the XR table and looked down when my foot nudged something. The room is fairly low light but there was the missing earring! I'm going to call them my good luck earrings from now on. They have tremendous sentimental value.
This week:
No way am I working as hard as I did last week. I wore myself out, what with a flu shot, mowing and edging the lawns, fixing the front door, moving heavy potted plants, grocery shopping, and other various chores. Time for an easy week of
*dermatology appointment
*therapy check-in
*payday
*catch up on reading
*maybe buy myself some jeans at Kohl's
What does your week look like?
Gina

That was a lucky find/ recovery and has to be a sign they're good luck.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky day to find your earring! My week looks like trying to finish despised non-routine household chores, session with Pilates trainer, COVID vaccine and recovery day, dog to groomer, and for me lots of reading and some trips to the local coffee shop to get lattes. I'm contemplating ordering some clothes too and need to figure out how to spend my credit at REI.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky find! I once had an earring that was lost for nearly a month turn up on our front lawn one day... a good cleaning and it was good as new. I was so thankful I hadn't thrown the other away. I don't have much on my to do list at all this week... though I spent most of the day today and probably will tomorrow cleaning fish since my husband and oldest son went deep sea fishing with friends on Sunday and came home with SO MUCH. They do have them cut into filets on the boat but I like to wash them and then go over them a few times to make sure ALL the bones are out.
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I have a favorite pair of yello-gold hoops that are the right size and style to wear with almost everything. I would be so upset if they got lost. I know because I originally had a white-gold pair exactly like them, and did lose one of them. I bought a similar pair new, but they have a different feel in my ears, and just not as comfortable (perfect).
ReplyDeleteGlad you found yours!
That has happened to me twice. I lost a diamond stud gifted to me by my late grandma and i found it by accidentally stepping on it. Another time I dropped a gold earring and M found it on our patio when we saw something glinting in the sun. Here's to a more relaxing week..
ReplyDeleteI love when I recover a lost piece like that! It sounds like a good week to take it a little easier!
ReplyDeleteOh yay!! I'm so glad you found it!! Why is it always the important pieces that go missing? I hope you have an easier week. I'm trying for that too...
